Diploma in Hotel Management
Programme Overview
The Diploma in Hotel Management program, under the Faculty of Management, PICOMS International University College (PICOMS) is the first non-medical related program offered by the PICOMS, as a diversification exercise in preparation for upgrading into a university-college by the year 2017. This program was selected as part of the college’s effort to contribute to the manpower needs of the hospitality industry, particularly in hotel operations in the country. According to PEMANDU, the tourism industry will require about 495,000 additional workers from 2017 until 2020 in order to meet the targeted growth plan, which offer great career opportunity for the hotel management graduates.
The graduates of this program have ample career opportunities in major hotels in the Klang Valley as the students from this program is well received by these hotels, especially during their Industrial Attachment program as well as during working as part-timers. Other hotels around the country have also recognized the program due to good rapport between the hotels and PICOMS, particularly with the management of the program.
