Certificate in Post Basic Renal Nursing
Programme Overview
Post Basic Certificate in Renal Nursing programme is a 6 months programme, aimed to produce Renal Nurses who are professional, knowledgeable and competence in providing safe and skilful nursing care to end-stage renal disease patients. It will also prepare them to full fill their professional careers in competitive global and local market.
Post Basic Certificate in Renal Nursing started on 2017 and currently ongoing the 7th batch which consist of 20 students per batch. The students usually had 2-3 years of clinical experiences which ease them to focus on their study.
After completing the course students will be back to their own place of work then continue their service to their patients. They are equipped with new knowledge to care their patients. They will be able to manage their own centre of dialysis or set up a new dialysis centre as their business.
The entry requirement for Certificate in Post Basic Renal Nursing program is as according to the requirements in the SOP of Nursing Board Malaysia.
For Malaysian candidates
1) Possess Diploma in Nursing from a recognised institution by MNB
2) Registered with the MNB
3) Possess current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) for nurses MNB
4) Minimum 2 years clinical working experience
For International candidates
Not applicable
